The Cuban Communist Party announced this past June 18 that it administered more than 4 million doses of two of its vaccines against the coronavirus to the population even though none of these vaccines has the authorization to be used. Some of them are still in phase I of clinical trials.

The Cuban regime’s state newspaper, Granma, published the news ‘celebrating’ that the government had distributed 4,328,291 doses of the Abdala and Soberana 02 vaccines.

According to the Cuban government’s own data, which due to censorship and the lack of independent sources, cannot be verified as true, the Soberana 02 concluded phase III clinical trials on Sunday, June 20. It achieved an effectiveness of 62% by administering two doses to each person.

However, Cuban doctors began administering doses to children as young as 12 years old in experimental Phase I trials of Soberana vaccines last week, although it clarifies that the people, including the children, were ‘pediatric volunteers.’

Cuba currently claims to have four vaccines in development: Soberana, Soberana 02, Abdalá, and Mambisa, developed by the Finlay Institute. According to government media, Soberana 02 is even more effective than the Chinese ‘Coronavac’ vaccine, which has effectiveness between 38% and 50%.

However, in similar terms to Cuba, China’s data are also not credible due to the lack of transparency that characterizes the CCP.

In addition to that, countries like Chile that have vaccinated their population with Chinese vaccines, have had peaks of infections in fully vaccinated people even more cases than before vaccination started, so Chinese laboratories said that a third dose was needed, without admitting that they had the opposite effect than expected.

But for the World Health Organization, 50% effectiveness is sufficient to grant authorization for use, and therefore ‘Coronavac’ obtained permission to be distributed.

Now, with Phase III supposedly concluded, Cuba will seek Sovereign 02 approval to be able to sell it to poor countries, although Iran for example bought some 100,000 doses of the Cuban vaccine while they were still in the initial phase of clinical trials, according to Breitbart.

“I am sure that the vaccine that the poor of the world will have access to is ours, and that has to do with the millions of commitments that you have defended, with millions of principles that the Revolution has forged, and that you have also forged,” Díaz-Canel ‘president’ of Cuba told the scientists.

Argentina’s government news agency also announced on May 29, 2021 that it was interested not only in buying Cuban vaccines, but in supporting to ‘scale up production’.

However, it is unknown if there were adverse effects or deaths as occurred worldwide, with the application of the Cuban vaccines in such early stages due to censorship and lack of an entity to supervise the procedure independently of the Castro regime.

What is the technology of the Cuban vaccine?

Soberana 02 is a conjugate vaccine, which joins a weak antigen with a strong antigen to ensure a vigorous immune response, Nature magazine reported.

“To make Soberana 02, Finlay scientists coupled fragments of the coronavirus spike protein to an inactivated form of tetanus toxin, a potent antigen that can boost the production of immune cells and antibodies,” the journal explained.

Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines, on the other hand, use messenger RNA to signal the immune system via a “protein spike.”

Because traditional vaccines do not use messenger RNA to generate an immune response, but rather small amounts of active virus, the vaccines against the CCP Virus are considered experimental, and because none of them have completed their Phase IV phase, which takes years, and it is not known what the long-term effects of these vaccines will be in people.

The Chinese vaccines, which did use a more ‘traditional’ approach, proved to be completely ineffective and their sale around the world is more about a billion dollar business between governments with shared ideologies rather than a desire to prevent people from getting sick.
