Zhejiang Jingsheng Electromechanical, a Mainland semiconductor equipment giant, announced that its subsidiary company in Shangyu District, Shaoxing City, has discontinued its production.
The announcement came after the Zhejiang COVID-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group required all local enterprises to stop operating.
According to the company, production and delivery of some of the company’s products would be delayed. Shangyu production mainly produces LED lighting products. In the first three quarters of 2021, the company’s revenue accounted for 41.50% of the total revenue of the whole firm.
The preliminary statistics from the “Securities Times” showed that, from Dec. 10–12, 17 listed companies were under production discontinuation due to the Zhejiang epidemic. Most of them have facilities and subsidiaries registered in Shangyu, Shaoxing.
As of 21:00 on Dec. 12, Shaoxing had reported a total of 107 local confirmed COVID cases and one asymptomatic infection. Likewise, there were 105 confirmed cases in Shangyu District and one asymptomatic infection.
