Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, on Tuesday, March 23, blamed the border crisis on the Biden administration’s immigration messages, which he said created “expectations” among illegal aliens wanting to breach the border.

Those planning to cross the border keep a close watch on U.S. policy and politics. Under former President Donald Trump: immigration laws would be enforced, and crossing the border was a crime that would be punished.

Those who entered the country for the majority of Trump’s presidency were not imprisoned or fined, unless they committed crimes while in the country. The majority of them were merely deported back to where they came from.

The message was: don’t expect to be greeted with open arms when you come here.

For the majority of Trump’s presidency, illegal crossings were significantly reduced as a result of a secure border, rules that were followed, and policies that sent lawbreakers back to where they came from.

Trump’s policies provided a challenge to those who rely on illegal crossings to bring drugs, guns, and people in.

Without the assistance of Congress and with activist judges battling him over every inch, Trump still came close to completing a border wall. He definitely never armed the cartels and others by sending guns south, as former President Barack Obama did.

However,  Democrats began to use pandering rhetoric in regard to issues that appeal to their base as the 2020 election approached. Immigration was, of course, one of those issues.

The idea that the border was largely a fictitious line on maps was pushed by Biden and Democrats. They inferred that Trump’s boldness in enforcing existing laws was draconian, inhumane, and shortsighted. They promised to change, and they kept their word.

Obrador said that the message he delivered during debates and on cable news was heard loud and clear by Central Americans and people in his own country looking to migrate north.

Obrador during a press conference on Tuesday, blamed Biden for creating the conditions that have resulted in tens of thousands of children living in close quarters. Mexico Today editor José Daz-Briseo translated the message and shared it on Twitter.

“”Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” Obrador said.

Nothing new was said to us by Obrador. The entire world is aware that Democrats are weak on immigration. The Mexican president revealed what Biden is known as south of the border earlier this month.

According to Obrador in a Washington Post article, they see Biden as the migrant president, and many believe they will be able to enter the United States.

“We need to work together to regulate the flow, because this business can’t be tackled from one day to the next,” Obrador added.

“Joint solution” were empty words. When it comes to securing a sovereign border, Obrador wields the same level of power as Biden.

He has done nothing to secure Mexico’s side of the border, and anything short of sending the entire Mexican army to guard it would likely fall short at this point.

Human, firearm, or drug trafficking seem not to be concerns of either Biden or Obrador. Neither of them has done anything to prevent unaccompanied minors from being detained in child detention centers.

Both men bear some responsibility for the disaster, but it is ultimately Biden and his inept administration who are to blame.

With his first remarks, the Mexican president revealed one piece of information: Biden is the migrant president.

As a result, drug cartels, low-wage workers, and even Obrador himself are profiting from Biden.

When Obrador and the rest of the world know Biden can’t even walk up a flight of stairs, why would he devote resources to dealing with an illegal alien influx on his side of the border?
