Numerous groups are invoking solidarity with the millions of forced labor victims enslaved by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in concentration camps in Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region and are calling for a boycott of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Since 2019 a major Muslim group has been calling on the United States to boycott, and after former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo officially admitted to genocide more voices are joining the cry in defense of the victims, as did leaders of Britain’s Jewish community on Jan. 26 according to The Times.

“Let us leave aside the question of whether it is appropriate to use the Nazi attempt to wipe the Jewish people off the face of the earth as an analogy for any other mass atrocity,” wrote British author Melanie Phillips.

She added, “It is indisputable that the Chinese [CCP] are guilty of crimes against humanity in their repression of the Uighurs, a Muslim community concentrated in Xinjiang province,” denouncing the egregious violation of human rights.

The CCP “has committed genocide against the predominantly Muslim Uighurs and other ethnic and religious minority groups in Xinjiang,” Pompeo said on Jan. 19 after reviewing the facts.

Likewise, incoming Secretary of State Antony Blinken backed Pompeo by confirming that the CCP enforces the extermination of human and religious groups in its territory who do not resist the terrible prohibitions on freedom of conscience and religious and cultural beliefs.

Nevertheless, the United States is still training the hundreds of athletes who will represent it at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, which would be contradictory to its statements against genocide in China, leaving those guilty of genocide unpunished and without real justice for the victims.

“The United States should not send its athletes to participate in any event taking place in a country that is committing genocide. This statement should not be controversial,” wrote Washington Times columnist Zachary Faria.

“As hard as it is on the athletes, there is no excuse for the United States to pander to China [the CCP] or its cowardly allies on the International Olympic Committee,” Faria reiterated, calling them China’s “Genocide Games.”

In addition to mass arrests and labor exploitation, the CCP imposes forced abortions, sterilizations, and involuntary birth control methods on the persecuted.

It also executes forced removal of human organs for trade in transplants, as it often does with practitioners of the ancient spiritual discipline Falun Dafa or Falun Gong.

For author Nicholas Hanson, “Biden should get the message to the CCP now. ‘You have one year to release your Muslim prisoners and wholly empty and permanently close the concentration camps, or there will be fewer guests at your party.'”

He also believes that the boycott would be effective if it gains the support of all the allied countries, one of the CCP’s greatest fears.
