This story of a UK’s baby died days after premature birth, whose mother had been stabbed to death will shatter your heart.
The tragic episode occurred at a home in Croydon, south London, UK when Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, 26, who “dreamed of being a mum”, was killed in a horrendous attack in the early hours of last Saturday.
Kelly died at the scene but was rushed to hospital where paramedics managed to deliver her baby son.
The child, named Riley by relatives, was given a 50/50 chance of survival but died in hospital today at 3.10am (UK time).
Kelly’s aunt Rosa Fauvrelle, from Crystal Palace, South East London, said before his death that family were at his side.
UK’s detectives released the CCTV footage of a hooded man walking towards her home and just over ten minutes later he is seen running back along the same street away from the mom-to-be’s address in Thornton Heath.
Police are considering if Riley’s death should also be treated as murder and whether Ms Fauvrelle’s attacker was known to her, according to Evening Standard.
The investigation is ongoing.
