On a grassland in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, a strange scene of hundreds of sheep running in a clockwise circle for more than 10 consecutive days, during which time no sheep were entering the center of the process as if performing some mysterious ritual. A related video has gone viral on the Internet, and many netizens speculated whether it was a sign of an approaching apocalypse.
According to Sydney Today, this unusual video began to be filmed on November 4. The sheep owner in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, captured this strange scene through the farm’s surveillance video. It shows, “The sheep in Inner Mongolia have been running in circles for more than 10 consecutive days, and no one knows why”.
The owner of this farm, Miao, says that her sheep are very healthy and she doesn’t understand why they go around for 10 days in a row as if conducting some mysterious ritual. Of 34 sheep sheds, only the sheep in sheep barn number 13 has such a phenomenon.
According to the Sound of Hope, some have speculated that this behavior of the sheep may be due to a disease called “Listeriosis” (circling disease) caused by a germ that causes the subject to go around constantly. However, sheep with this disease usually die within 1 to 2 days; even experts do not know how to explain such behavior of the sheep.
The video went viral on social media, attracting thousands of comments. Some netizens said that this could be a “sign of the end of the world,” and “Does this phenomenon mean that a big event will happen?” others said, “the behavior of the sheep is a doomsday prayer.”
