Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen salutes her government's ties with the U.S. during her short visit to Denver, Colorado.

Speaking at a ballroom dinner held in her honor, the island’s pro-independence leader says the world needs to her the Taiwanese story.

During the dinner celebration, Tsai addresses a group of 600 supporters and dignitaries. She warns that democracy must be safeguarded. Tsai recognizes the importance of Taiwan-US relations.
