Liberty Times reported that the Czech Senate passed a resolution, with 51 votes in favor, one against, and 11 abstentions on May 11, requiring the Czech government to support Taiwan in joining international organizations.

At the same time, the resolution says that Taiwan and the Czech Republic share democratic values and are important partners.

Citing the joint statement following the strategic dialogue between the Czech Republic and the United States on April 30, the resolution notes that the Czech Republic considers Taiwan one of its essential partners in the Indian Ocean and Pacific region.
