Dewitt Phagan, a Georgia World War II veteran, celebrated a major milestone—his 100th birthday on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, Phagan’s family, friends, and the community took the opportunity to celebrate and thank the veteran for his service.

They all packed into Cedar Grove School near Dublin where the birthday party was held, according to WMAZ.

“I am really proud of each one of them, I’m glad they are able to come and be with us so, now I’m glad to be here too,” Phagan said. “It is God’s will that we be here.”

Let’s wish this veteran a very happy 100th birthday, and thank him for his years of service!
