After New York police officers were doused a number of times with buckets of water last month, a new video of woman spitting in the general direction of police in Portland, Oregon, is circulating the internet.
The video, which was shared by Twitter user @feefifofummmm, showed a woman in a red dress crossing the street, seemingly through an area where tensions were high.
As can be seen from the video, the woman spits in the direction of the police and keeps walking. Moments later, she is wrestled to the ground by a group of officers wearing riot gear.
The police department has not released the identity of the woman, but a Twitter user, Hannah or @Radiocabgirl, said she is the woman in the video.
TO BE CLEAR I SPIT IN THE GENERAL DIRECTION NOT EVEN ON AN OFFICER AND I WAS TACKLED BY 5 COPS. Is that really necessary??? I woke up with bruises all over my body.

She then showed bruises left on her arms by the officers:
And yes I know this looks like nothing in this picture, and maybe to some it is nothing, but it was still entirely unjust and excessive for the situation at hand. This is light [expletive], people experience much worse all over the country every day

Portland Police said that the woman in the video has not been charged with a crime at this point, according to The Independent.
“As the investigation into the demonstration events continue, detectives and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office will determine if future charges are appropriate,” a representative said.
