An Oregon woman left her boyfriend bruised and scratched for leaving her dog outside in the rain, authorities in Coos County said.
Melissa Morris, 38, of Myrtle Point, faced a charge of domestic assault for the New Year’s Eve incident, the New York Post reported.
At around 6:15 p.m., Morris punched her boyfriend twice in the face while the two were arguing about her dog, police said.
Officers who responded to the scene noticed a marble-sized welt and a scratch on his face.
Her boyfriend later told police she punched him because he had left her dog out in the rain.
The department tweeted a picture of the suspect. It shows Morris flashing a grin after she was booked at the Coos County Jail.
