Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas)  assured that the “violence of the left” that is taking place in different places in the United States is “well coordinated” andis meant to keep Americans hostage in order to preserve the power of the Democratic Party.

As the Daily Caller reported, during an interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, Crenshaw spoke about the riots in Portland and other cities, telling viewers to “calm down and take a step back and look at the big picture.”

“What are we seeing? I think fundamentally what we’re seeing is a hostage crisis. You have a lot of violent left-wing mobs, antifa mobs saying that if you don’t give us power, if you don’t give our political wing, the Democratic Party, power we’re gonna keep terrorizing your cities,” he said.

Crenshaw alludes to the Democratic Party’s position of repeatedly speaking out against federal measures to prevent acts of sedition by radical leftist groups that have been wreaking havoc since the death of African American George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer.

Crenshaw said on “Fox & Friends” a few months ago that people should be on the lookout for proposals from the Democrats claiming that the policies they are proposing are not what the Americans want.

“I think a lot is at stake and my suggestion to the American people is start listening to the Democrats, we have to listen to what they are telling us,” said Crenshaw. He added, “They talk about defunding the police, they talk about making excuses for violent mobs—let’s take them at their word: they want to destroy the things that bring us together, our common bonds, our founding, our love of country.”

In his most recent speech, Crenshaw established the relationship between the leftist antifa group, which is fully active in protests across the country, and the Democratic Party, citing recent statements by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), who claimed that antifa violence in Portland was a “myth.”

According to CNBC, Nadler, along with the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, Bennie Thompson, and the chairman of the Oversight and Reform Committee, Carolyn Maloney, signed a letter to the Inspectors General of the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security condemning police actions authorized by the Trump administration in Portland.

Crenshaw, who stated that the “political wing” of the antifa is the Democratic Party, also referred to the Democrats’ double standards in contradicting their own actions in seeking public attention, claiming that protests in the country would not take place if the administration were under their control.

“You look at Nancy Pelosi’s words. What did she say? She says, you know, this is all Trump’s fault. If we were in power, none of this leftist terrorism would be happening right now. So her messages come from different angles, but they’re very well coordinated and it’s this: They’ll hold you hostage, they’ll hold the Americans hostage until you give them power.”
