U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) has introduced a bill to include the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the list of Top International Criminal Organizations Target (TICOT).
If passed, the bill would allow U.S. security agencies “to target the CCP’s malign activity,” according to Perry’s website on Oct. 1.
“The TICOT List is an intergovernmental effort to identify and eliminate the international criminal organizations that pose the gravest threat to U.S. national interests,” Perry explains.
He also lists the crimes that make the CCP a threatening criminal organization to the country.
The theft of intellectual property, cyberattacks on U.S. systems, espionage, and international trafficking of the dangerous, addictive drug fentanyl, are mentioned as the primary crimes to combat.
“The thugocracy that is the Chinese Communist Party must be held accountable for its international crimes and face the full force of the U.S. law enforcement agencies,” Perry stressed.
While the Trump administration has already sanctioned many CCP companies and individuals and international contractors working for them, this is the first time U.S. law has directly attacked the regime.
The CCP has also been accused of multiple human rights violations, primarily against ethnic and spiritual minorities such as Uighur and the ancient practice known as Falun Dafa or Falun Gong, among others. However, the dire consequences of the CCP Virus appear to have broken the bank.
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have reiterated the CCP’s culpability in spreading the disease throughout most of the world.
Americans killed by the CCP Virus number over 207,000 and those infected number over 7 million, including President Trump himself and his wife, First Lady Melania, who withdrew into quarantine on Oct. 1, when confirmed that they had been infected.
The threat posed by the CCP on a global scale is so significant that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced a global coalition against it.
The following is a part of what Pompeo said on this subject: “the greatest external threat that the United States faces in the medium and long term is the threat of the Chinese regime, the Chinese Communist Party led by General Secretary Xi Jinping.”
