Outrage and criticism continue to be generated as the U.S. Navy, the most powerful in the world, has the eagle in its logo wearing a mask. A facemask just like those used in the prevention of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus.

The altered logo appears on the official Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts of the naval military force with a respectable 227-year tradition note, which The Blaze of April 11, describes as “pathetic.”

That sentiment is echoed by Newsmax TV anchor John Cardillo, who said our mighty navy could have become the laughingstock of the country’s enemies.

“The eagle in the @USNavy’s logo is wearing a mask. China, Iran, and Russia are pissing their pants laughing at us,” said Cardillo.

“The eagle is a symbol of freedom, and they made it into a symbol of submission,” opined one of the Twitter users identified as @MarkCancellieri on April 9.

Temporary changes have been made to the logo before. Still, this alteration—made about a year ago—added the caption, “The eagle is practicing social distancing and wears a mask when out in public. Be like the eagle.”

Needless to say, since the change on April 20, the outpouring of comments of rejection has been enormous.

Retired Department of Defense intelligence officer Tony Shaffer on his April 11 Twitter post, called it a mockery of the Navy and in line with President Biden’s priorities.

“The @USNavy show more woke weakness … further reinforcement of the perception of our enemies and challengers that  @JoeBiden does not have the will or ability to defend the U.S. or our allies: U.S. Navy draws mockery after adding a mask to the eagle in logo,” Shaffer said.

Agreeing with Shaffer’s point about showing weakness to our enemies and deflating our military’s confidence noted journalist Tucker Carlson already weighed in on the Democrats’ and Biden’s surrender to leftist progressivism.

On his regular March 11 program, Carlson warned of the impact Biden was having on the military: “It is by far the most important. A weak military means no country, period,” according to the video below.

Carlson noted that Biden’s priorities are not about strengthening the military. He’s more focused on racial identity issues and appearances, not fundamentals, referring to his talk about designing bulletproof vests for women, maternity suits for pregnant female fighter pilots, and similar matters.

“The rest of us depend on the U.S. military to protect our families and to protect the country itself,” Carlson said

He added: “Joe Biden doesn’t see it that way. Finding the most effective military pilots or infantry officers or SEAL teams is not his priority, not even close to his priority.”

Instead, he’s all about identity politics and stuff: “It’s not right if your only job is to protect America from people who want to kill the rest of us. That’s the worst kind of dereliction of duty,” Tucker went on to say.
