Twitter on Tuesday, July 28, suspended the account of President Donald Trump’s eldest son after he shared a video featuring Americans Frontline Doctors endorsing the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat the CCP Virus (coronavirus).
As The BL reported Monday, a group of medical doctors came together to address what they called a “massive disinformation campaign” about the effects of using hydroxychloroquine to treat the CCP Virus. A video of the press conference published by Breitbart News was later removed by Twitter, Yahoo, and Facebook after millions of views.
“This is much watch!!!” Trump Jr. tweeted after a section of the video in which Dr. Stella Immanuel insisted that there is a cure for the virus.
“So different from the narrative that everyone is running with,” Trump Jr. added.
Twitter suspended Trump Jr.’s account for sharing false information.
Andy Surabian, spokesman for Trump Jr., said in a statement, “It is beyond the pale for Twitter to silence someone for sharing the views of medical professionals who happen to dissent with their anti-hydroxychloroquine narrative.”
Surabian said that Twitter’s suspension of Trump Jr. for sharing the video “is further proof that Big Tech is intent on killing free expression online and is another instance of them committing election interference to stifle Republican voices.”
What an absolute joke. This is censorship friends and they do it to all of us! If they are willing to censor the President of the United States, believe me they will take away your voice the second you disagree with their politics. Please remember this on November 3rd. @Twitter https://t.co/s0FobtSlpH

President Trump also shared the video but his account was not suspended. The president defended Immanuel during a tense press conference at the White House on Tuesday for touting hydroxychloroquine, saying, “I thought she was very impressive.”
The 74-year-old president, who already took the drug to prevent the CCP Virus and has been trashed by mainstream media for supporting it, defended his previous positions on hydroxychloroquine. He noted that Twitter had taken down his post highlighting research on the virus.
Indeed, Dr. Harvey Risch, professor of epidemiology at Yale and director of the Molecular Cancer Epidemiology Laboratory, said that hydroxychloroquine could be the key to destroying the virus in the early stages of infection. Even CNN later acknowledged a “surprising new study” that proves the efficacy of the drug.

Trump Jr. accused Twitter of having a double standard for censoring his tweet while Chinese officials can share “disinformation” about the CCP Virus with no consequences.
“I’ve been talking about the deplatforming, the demonetization of people that have big social platforms that are preaching conservative values,” Trump Jr. told host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night, “because you have to note, this never happens to someone saying something that benefits the left. It only hurts conservatives.”
