Tucker Carlson dubbed Kamala Harris a “power hungry buffoon” after multiple aides complained her office is “abusive”. He also demanded to know who is actually in charge of America “if Joe Biden is not running things.”
On his show Friday night, July 2, the Fox News host took aim at the vice president, stating she is “posing as a competent adult” while she is actually a “joke” who “has no idea what she”s doing.”
He cited her role in resolving the issue at the US-Mexico border, as well as her efforts to increase the number of women in the workplace, Daily Mail reported.
Carlson said “a tsunami” of migrants continues to flood the border, while Harris “proceeds to drive women out of her own office.”
“She takes charge of a problem she doesn’t really understand, and then she makes it worse,” he said.
In a bombshell Politico piece this week, aides and administration officials complained of a hostile climate in Harris’s office, with low morale and trust, as well as poor communication.
“In one of her first official acts as vice president back in February, Kamala Harris decided to declare what she called a national emergency,” said Carlson.
“This new national emergency, Kamala Harris informed us is ‘The mass exodus of women from the workplace.'”
“Kamala Harris sounded the alarm,” he said.
“Our female workforce emergency, she wrote, demands a national solution.”
Carlson mocked the fact that the problem has not been resolved, and that “there are women, even now, who have chosen to skip the HR department’s latest zoom call and workplace diversity initiatives and are instead reading their children a bedtime story.”
“Five months later we are sad to tell you that that crisis is still ongoing,” he said.
Carlson added that Harris “hasn’t done a lot to help,” pointing to her own office”s apparent internal strife.
“There is now a mass exodus of women from her office,” he said.
“The toxic masculinity is coming from inside the house.”
He added: “It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel they are treated like cr*p.”
The reports of a problematic workplace, employee resignations, and conflicts between the West Wing and Carlson’s team all surfaced this week, according to Carlson.
Aides described a hostile environment in which they were treated “like s***,” claiming that tensions reached a breaking point last week when the vice president chose to visit the border.
According to Politico, the decision caught employees tasked with planning travel and those outside her office responsible for messaging across the administration off guard.
According to the site, low morale, a stressful atmosphere, permeable lines of communication, and lost trust were noted by 22 officials, former officials, advisers, and associates of President Biden and Harris.
Tina Flournoy, Harris’s Chief of Staff, was singled out for criticism, with one source claiming that “people are thrown under the bus from the very top.”
The White House struck back, with Biden’s Senior Adviser Cedric Richmond labeling the allegations “a whisper campaign designed to sabotage [Harris].”
White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain told Axios: “The results speak for themselves: a decline of border arrivals from the Northern Triangle, improved vaccine equity, and increased economic opportunities for women.”
Carlson, on the other hand, slammed Harris for the reports, calling them the latest in a “pattern.”
“First, Kamala Harris takes charge of a problem she doesn’t really understand, and then she makes it worse,” he said.
“Let’s help women in the workforce, she says, then proceeds to drive women out of her own office.
“Let’s fix the border crisis, she says, as the wave of illegal migrants becomes a tsunami.
“Take this vaccine, she tells you, it works perfectly. Then she turns to kiss her vaccinated husband while wearing a surgical mask.”
Carlson called it “hilarious to watch,” but slammed other media outlets for not calling out her flaws for fear of being labeled “racist.”
“Look at her, she is a joke, she can barely get through the day, she has no idea what she’s doing but you can’t say that out loud,” he said.
“Point out that she is a power-hungry buffoon posing as a competent adult and they will instantly denounce he was a racist.”
Despite being “one of the least impressive people”, Carlson claims, the vice president appears to be “running our country.”
“A majority of Americans say Joe Biden isn’t in charge,” he said, citing a new poll from The Trafalgar Group.
He further pushed right-wing critics claims that Biden is senile and that this has put Harris in leadership of the country “by default.”
“We don’t say a lot about Joe Biden’s decline on this show partly because it is depressing and partly because our default position is to always respect old people, especially when they get a little soft, as we all will if we live long enough so it’s bad karma to mock them for it but in Biden’s case as the president, it’s demonstrably true and everyone knows that including his family,” he said.
“The question is “who is really in charge if Joe Biden isn’t?” And increasingly it seems like Kamala Harris is running things.
“If you believe in democracy, this is a problem… But she got the job anyway entirely by default.”
He added: “Biden’s senility means an awful lot of power for Kamala Harris and that’s why we are spending the next hour talking about her.”
In recent months, Carlson has routinely attacked Harris on his show, labeling her “fake” and implying she gets special treatment from the media because of “how she looks.”
