A police officer in St. Petersburg, Florida, is getting a lot of attention for his kind act.
Johnson was on patrol in St. Petersburg on Thursday, Aug. 29, when he saw an elderly woman walking by herself, according to WFLA.
Initially, the officer thought that the woman might be lost. But when he offered her a ride home, she insisted on finishing her walk.
Instead of leaving her alone, Johnson took her hand and walked her all the way home.
St. Petersburg Police Department then shared the photo on Facebook, telling followers to “lean on us.”
“We should all take such time as Officer Johnson did—we can learn so much from these folks,” one commenter, Jinianne Gorg, said.
“Officer Johnson is a class act and always has been!!” Jennifer Castleman, had written.
