Actress and ≠MeToo activist Rose McGowan broke down in a fiery Twitter post on Wednesday, April 29, after realizing the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party and its media allies in the wake of the sexual assault accusation against former Vice President Joe Biden.
It’s been more than a month since Tara Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her while she served as an aide in his Senate offices during the Clinton administration, and more evidence and people have corroborated details of Reade’s account, and Biden, the Democratic Party, and the mainstream media have largely ignored her.
In a lengthy letter published on her Twitter, McGowan criticized the Democratic Party that no longer lines up with her value system.
“I used to be a proud Democrat. I used to be a proud American,” she wrote. “I would’ve died for this damn country and its ideals. I was raised to be a proud Democrat. When my youngest brother graduated as a fighter pilot at the Air Force Academy, I wore a Vote John Kerry pin (lol), got into verbal altercations with big men who were mad I was a Democrat.”

“I was always told it was the Democratic Party that were the good guys, that our papers were The New York Times and The Washington Post,” she continued. “But now I know too much. And I feel really quite a sense of loss tonight.”
“I am not a cynical person, but America goddamn,” McGowan said. “Republicans have always been painted as the bad guys, and I’ve always seen them more as a cult, but now I realize so are the Democrats and the media. Macro and micro. This is deeper than a coverup. And I’m sad because there’s death around all corners and shadows in the daytime. It hurts.”
As more evidence supporting Reade’s allegations against Biden have come to light, McGowan started calling on the former vice president to end his presidential campaign.
“Let me guess? @MichelleObama is endorsing you? Answer your taxpayers, answer Tara Reade, stop speaking through your manager. You are a creep. You know it. We know it. I know it. Tara definitely knows it,” McGowan wrote in response to Biden’s announcement of hosting a town hall discussing abuse against women.

Earlier this month McGowan blasted her fellow actress and activist Alyssa Milano, who is a Biden supporter and famously promoted the ≠BelieveWomen slogan during the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation hearings, for being silent on Reade’s accusation.
“You are a fraud. This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump & Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie,” McGowan wrote to Milano. “You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME.”
