President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump wished all Americans a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in a video message released on December 24.

“The president and I want to wish every American a very Merry Christmas,” began Melania.

They gave praise to God and praised the many courageous citizens who worked tirelessly for others during the pandemic.

“At Christmas, we thank God for sending us his son to bring peace to our souls and joy to the world,” said the president.

“As you know, this Christmas is different than years past. We are battling a global pandemic that has affected all of us,” said Melania.

“Yet through this great challenge, we have been inspired by the kindness and courage of citizens across this country,” she added.

President Trump called the availability of the vaccine to help stop the pandemic “a Christmas miracle.”

“We are delivering millions of doses of a safe and effective vaccine that will soon end this terrible pandemic and save millions and millions of lives. We’re grateful for all of the scientists, researchers, manufacturing workers, and servicemembers who have worked tirelessly to make this breakthrough possible,” said the president.

”It is truly a Christmas miracle,” the president added.

The president concluded their message: “On behalf of Melania and the entire Trump family, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

The president and first lady arrived in Palm Beach on Wednesday and are expected to spend their Christmas at Mar-A-Largo.

It is traditional for them to attend a Christmas service at Bethesda By The Sea, but services are to be held virtually because of the pandemic restrictions.
