Eric Trump warned about the existence of a sector of the population that has declared a real war against patriotism and the American tradition. The sector, which includes leftist politicians, hegemonic media, and show business stars, was in evidence after his remarks during the anniversary of the national Independence day celebrations.

On July 4th, a new anniversary of the Independence of the United States was celebrated. Historically it’s a day of pride and celebration. Unfortunately, however, more and more voices are heard that try to mock, belittle or even eliminate any festivities that commemorate the values and patriotic tradition.

During an interview with Newsmax, Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, warned that there is essentially a “war” against patriotism and the flag.

“They want to get rid of our Pledge of Allegiance. They want to get rid of our national anthem. They want to get rid of ‘under God,'” Trump, son of former President Donald Trump and vice president of the Trump Organization, said Monday on “Greg Kelly Reports.”

In speaking of this declared war against the U.S. flag, he noted that his father—when he decided to become president—did so, motivated to defend it along with the traditional values that go with it.

Trump Jr. also acknowledged that people are “sick and tired of the nonsense,” referring to movements that preach leftist revisionism of American history, of the often illogical claims regarding the alleged white supremacy against the freedoms of blacks, and speeches around social justice. It’s one reason that Donald Trump so quickly acquired the attention and votes of most Americans despite having no political background.

Eric Trump’s comments are not unrelated to reality; during the interview, he did not mention Cori Bush, the Missouri Democrat who made headlines during the last few days after her anti-American messages for the 4th of July.

Democratic Rep. Cori Bush tweeted, “When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.”

Bush followed up with another tweet, “We know what our own freedom looks like. End the slavery permitted under the 13th amendment. End the War on Drugs. End police violence. End health care, housing, and education apartheid. WE are the experts on our own liberation. And we won’t stop until it’s won.”

Referring to Bush, Trump Jr. reminded the audience that the Democratic representative is one of the most influential and powerful people in the U.S. government, being a black person. Therefore, he pointed out; there would be something in her remarks that contradicts reality.

However, beyond the aberration of Bush’s comments, Trump Jr. warned that many times the left uses these types of statements to distract from President Joe Biden’s “horrible policies.” “Look at what’s happening. Look at the energy prices in this country. Look at inflation in this country,” he said, adding that nations like China and Russia have no respect for Biden.

He also spoke about the catastrophic situation on the United States’ southern border following the new immigration policies and how good it would do the entire national situation if his father returned to power in the White House.

Eric highlighted his father’s honesty and a real commitment to the United States. To such an extent, he acknowledged he might be ready to retake the president’s office in 2024.

“My father doesn’t need this job. He did it because he saw a country that was going down the tube, and it’s happening again. Right now,” he said. “We, as a family, love this nation [and] will never stop fighting for the greatest country in the world, which is [the] United States of America.”
