Saginaw Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a robbery suspect by a homeowner inside the garage.

Officers were called about 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, to the 1100 block of Trinity Trail. Police said the homeowner shot the man after he pulled out a gun.

The man with a single gunshot wound was taken to Medical City Alliance, where he died. 

Police arrested the homeowner for questioning and released him later Sunday. He does not face any charges. The case will be sent to a grand jury, police said. 

The other suspect unarmed fled after the shooting and is still at large.

Police said they do not think there is any additional threat to the public.
