A robbery suspect ran out of a shopping plaza and got shot in the leg by a security guard. The man stumbled to the ground and begged with the guard, “I’m sorry, bro.”
The shooting took place Monday near Fresh Ink Tattoo & Piercing in southeast Houston.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) stated that the accused thief aimed at an illegal game room in the shopping plaza. When he ran out with money, the game room’s guard opened fire.
“The suspect was able to get into his vehicle and fled the scene,” said Detective Gerald Robertson. “He is expected to survive from his injuries.”
Robertson said charges against him are pending.
The suspect is currently wanted on outstanding warrants in Texas and Louisiana.
