A man is being sought after he fled the scene of a crash Sunday that killed a woman and her unborn child in Waller County.

On Sept. 1, The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said Angel Aviles-Perez was driving south on FM Road 359 when he crashed into 34-year-old Latrice M. Frederick, causing her death and that of her unborn child.

The crash occurred about 2 p.m. on FM Road 359, near FM Road 3346.

Frederick was flown to Herman Memorial Hospital Houston by Life Flight where she and her unborn child were later both pronounced dead, according to police. Two other passengers, Terry Frederick, 52, of Brookshire and Daniel Williams, 48, of Brookshire, were transported to local hospitals.

The driver of the Cadillac identified as Angel Aviles-Perez, 37, was last seen fleeing on foot west of the crash scene, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. Aviles-Perez is wanted on charges of manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid, both felony offenses, according to police. He is described as Latino, between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
