The father, who was shot nearly 10 times, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann, where he’s in critical condition but expected to survive.
Another adult who was shot in the leg was taken by ambulance to a hospital and is in stable condition.
The mother of the child was with a 1-month-old child upstairs. When she heard what she thought was fireworks, she went downstairs and an attacker instantly held a gun to her head and demanded money.
She told them she didn’t have any and the suspects fled.
The suspects continue to be on the loose.
