A 2-year-old girl was seriously injured Friday morning after being shot in the head during a shootout between two vehicles in the Greenspoint area, police said.
The girl was taken to Houston Northwest Medical Center in critical condition by her mother, and doctors say she is expected to survive.
Police claim that the child was in a car with her mother, father, and at least another adult when the shooting took place.
Police are trying to determine who fired first, but say someone in the car with the child fired some rounds out of the car and someone else fired into the car and struck the girl.
