According to investigators in Coweta County, Georgia, a probable intruder was mauled to death by the homeowner’s dogs.

The homeowner, who wishes to remain unidentified, found the suspect’s body on his front porch when he returned home at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.

The intruder was identified as Alex Binyam Abraha, 21, of Atlanta. He had several active warrants in Fulton County, according to deputies.

The fatality was caused by a dog attack according to an autopsy report. The man got inside the house where the dogs were but died outside, say, investigators, adding that the homeowner has no idea who the victim is or why he was in his house, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

Abraha had entered the two-bedroom residence in a rural part of Newnan the night before, officials claimed, and was promptly met by two pit bulls inside.

On Wednesday, Sept. 29, Doug Evans, a journalist with local Fox affiliate WAGA-TV, shared photos of the two dogs on Twitter, “Coweta deputies say two dogs mauled an intruder who the homeowner later discovered dead on the front porch.”

It is still unknown whether or not detectives discovered a weapon on Abraha’s body or why he did not flee after facing the dogs. The county’s Department of Corrections has seized the two dogs, but, According to Meaww, authorities did not say what they would do with them.

The homeowner is unlikely to face any charges.

“Days” after Abraha’s death, his family claimed they were contacted and investigators sent them inconsistent and confusing information according to the Daily Mail.

“The family was told by an investigator on the case that they would be working on the autopsy, yet there was an article posted stating an autopsy was already finished and concluded,” read the GoFundMe page set up by the suspect’s family member.

Following Evans’ tweet on the incident, social media was flooded with comments on the event. “The intruder got what he deserved!” said one user.

However, another disagreed, “unpopular opinion, but even if they did something they definitely shouldn’t have and deserve consequences, it doesnt mean they deserve their life taken away, and I am disappointed to see that there few people who care that someone died, despite them trying to steal.”
