The outspokenness with which NBA star Enes Kanter defends people whose human rights are violated by the Chinese communist regime leads him to take on famed basketball player LeBron James over the forced labor he subjects Uighurs to.

Kanter tweeted, “Money over Morals for the “King.” Sad & disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice. They really do “shut up & dribble” when Big Boss says so.”

He added, “Did you educate yourself about the slave labor that made your shoes or is that not part of your research?” while attaching photos of sneakers made by Uighur labor, possibly in Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forced labor concentration camps.

In his devastating tweet, Kanter alludes to several angles of the issue, given that while James has spoken out against social issues such as election regulations in the U.S., he has not rejected the exploitation to which the CCP subjects around 2 million Uighurs.

On the other hand, James signed a lifetime contract for 30 million dollars a year with the well-known Nike brand, manufacturer of sportswear and sneakers, accused of taking advantage of the slave labor sold by the CCP.

Kanter also alludes in his tweet to James’ attacks on Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, who tweeted his support for Hong Kong protesters cracked down by the CCP.

At the time, James responded by saying he did not believe Morey was “educated on the situation at hand,” disavowing Morey and predicting that the Chinese regime could cause financial losses to his team, which has a large viewership in China.

For his part, Daily Caller sports editor David Hookstead extols Kanter’s work, writing, “Say whatever you want about the Celtics center, but the guts on this guy are made out of pure steel.”

He adds among other things, “To Kanter’s credit, he’s not afraid to stand up for what’s right, and that’s why you have to respect him. He’s speaking out against real oppression and it will likely cost him his career.”

Previously, Kanter had lashed out at the CCP calling for freedom for Tibet, a country it invaded and has ruled since 1950, and where it has imprisoned people calling for independence.

Also, he denounced in one of his tweets the CCP for murdering prisoners of conscience to remove their organs and sell them for transplants.

“The Chinese Government engages in forced organ harvesting. Ethnic and religious groups, Tibetans, Uighurs in death camps, Christians, Falun Gong, are all targeted. Liver. Kidney. Heart,” he wrote.

He added: “Stop murdering for organs. It’s a crime against humanity. End forced organ harvesting in China, NOW!”

Retaliation against Kanter seems to already be manifesting itself, since he says his team ‘punished’ him for criticizing the Chinese communist regime and won’t let him play. He has appeared in four games and played only 31 minutes this season, but coach Ime Udoka says it was strictly a basketball decision.
