Linda Carpenter and her son, Scott, sobbed in dismay at the ruins of their furniture store set on fire by anarchists protesting the shooting of African American Jacob Blake by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Aug. 23.

“It’s all gone … we didn’t do nothing to nobody, I don’t think it’s justifiable for anyone to destroy anybody else’s property” Linda Carpenter said. She added, “It’s basically theft. Whoever did this stole from us.”

Another sad story told by the company Gravity Gaming Lounge, which was also a victim of looting and destruction, so they went bankrupt, with no possibility of restarting activities, they shared on their Facebook account.

“Everything in the store was taken and the place was destroyed. For a business that was struggling to get back to normal and pushing through these hard times we will not be able to come back from this,” said their representatives.

The destruction, looting, and deaths have been occurring in several cities around the country since May 25, the day George Floyd, an African American, died in police custody.

Despite the numerous dead and the high value of the damage, the Democratic authorities are not acting diligently against the demonstrators, generally, leftists from the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and antifa.

President Donald Trump insists on sending federal forces to protect citizens and their property, but the Democrats are opposed.

Trump summarized the situation in one of his tweets, “Democrats and Biden didn’t even mention the Anarchists, Agitators, Looters and so-called “Peaceful Protesters” at their Convention. They will allow rampant crime, just as they do in Portland.”

He also added, “If they ask us, as they must do, we will end crime in their Democrat-run cities, FAST!”

In another of his tweets, he criticized the inaction of the Democrats in the face of the riots in 10 of the affected cities: “The Ten Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S. are ALL run by Democrats, and this has gone on for DECADES!”

“The Left is now claiming to be for law and order, but we have the receipts,” says a video tweet from Town Hall, which presents the contradictory position of the Democratic leadership in the face of destructive disorder.

Among the Democrats making statements in the video, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler is seen acknowledging that the riots are not peaceful, but following the video is a letter he sent to President Trump refusing help to control the violence.

“Today, I sent this letter via email to @realDonaldTrump declining his recurring offer to aid Portland by sending federal enforcement to the city,” Wheeler wrote, on Aug. 28.

Even CNN commentators said the Democrats have to make a statement about the violent riots in Kenosha.

“I think this is a blind spot for the Democrats,” CNN’s Don Lemon told his colleague Chris Cuomo. “What they can do—and I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it. … He’s got to address it,” according to the Los Angeles Times.

Lemon also appears in the video contributed by Town Hall, referring to this issue.
