Republican representatives on Wednesday, Nov. 18, asked House Oversight Committee Chairman Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat, to hold a hearing to examine the violence against President Trump’s supporters following the Million MAGA March in Washington last weekend. The violence showed that DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, the police force, and the media were complicit.

In the note addressed to Carolyn Maloney, as reported by Fox News, the group of Republicans wrote: “We respectfully request a hearing on the violence directed at supporters of President Trump on November 14, 2020. These supporters were exercising their First Amendment right to peacefully assemble within the District of Columbia.”

They added, “The failure of the city’s leaders to afford basic protections to persons who may hold different political viewpoints from their own appears to be another concerning example of viewpoint discrimination in the District.”

The MAGA Million Dollar March that took place on nov. 14 was a massive demonstration in Washington in support of President Trump in the face of multiple claims of fraud in the Nov.3 election.

After the mobilization, supporters of President Trump were violently attacked on several instances by the Marxist groups Black Lives Matter (BLM) and antifa.

The demonstration by President Trump’s supporters was completely peaceful in spite of its massiveness, and the acts of violence could have been completely avoided, if the corresponding authorities had guaranteed certain minimum standards to protect the security of the demonstrators.

As the days go by and the facts become clearer, the complicity that existed on the part of Bowser, the police force, and the media who chose to deny the facts and hide them as much as possible, becomes increasingly evident.

Despite the fact that many of the facts were recorded on film, which went viral on social networks, most of the major media, including the news agencies, carried out biased coverage of the violent episodes, so as not to blame BLM and antifa.

“That has been so misinformed. And, look, even AP and, look, the so-called ‘objective news sources’ misreported that,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) during an interview on Fox News, in which he exposed how the major media outlets misreported the violent events.

As seen in some videos that went viral, the police were also complicit in the violence.

In the video of the journalist Jorge Ventura, Christopher Horne and two of his friends can be seen trying to pass through a police cordon to go to his hotel that was half a block away. The police denied them passage and forced them to turn around through the violent gang of Black Lives Matters who, in front of the police, begin to push them, trying to take away their Trump 2020 flag. The police did not intervene in the attacks that occurred in front of their eyes.

“Despite the violence, the mainstream media and liberal establishment were quick to minimize the seriousness of the use of violence against Trump supporters by deriding them for failing to wear masks and asserting that they were infiltrated by ‘white nationalists, conspiracy theorists, and far right activists,’” the Republicans wrote in their note to Carolyn Maloney.

“City leaders have remained silent on the violence,” they continued. “This growing level of violence directed at others for holding different views is simply unacceptable.”

President Trump himself was the one who started the complaints to the mayor and the police when he wrote on his Twitter account: “Radical Left ANTIFA SCUM was easily rebuffed today by the big D.C. MAGA Rally crowd, only to return at night, after 99% of the crowd had left, to assault elderly people and families. Police got there, but late. Mayor is not doing her job!”
