The ten Republican senators on the Senate Small Business Committee are demanding that the Biden administration clarify the loans it is making to the multinational abortion company Planned Parenthood (PP) in violation of the relevant regulations.
PP already receives grants of taxpayer money, but it also appears to have gone overboard by obtaining at least $80 million more from the Small Business Administration (SBA), intended exclusively for the nation’s small business owners, according to Townhall on July 22.
In this regard, the senators infer that this money would have been obtained fraudulently because it can only be granted to companies that hire up to 500 employees, but PP ties at least 16,000.
“The SBA has wrongfully approved nearly $100 million in taxpayer-funded Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to Planned Parenthood branches across the country,” the lawmakers jointly stated.
They added: “On June 30th alone, SBA approved four PPP loans to Planned Parenthood affiliates despite a determination from the last Administration that these entities were ineligible for the program.”
Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) had already led an initiative in August 2020 to hold PP accountable for this funding and testify whether it was aware of the illegality of applying for and receiving it.
While this apparent fraud is being cleared up and the money is being recovered, the senators will try to stop the appointment of the Biden administration’s nominee for SBA Deputy Administrator, Dilawar Syed.
Therefore, in the same statement, they wrote: “We will not allow a vote on this nominee until the SBA takes action to recover the wrongfully acquired PPP funds by Planned Parenthood entities.”
In this context, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) questioned Syed about the illegality committed by PP in applying for these loans knowing that the rules earmarked them only for much smaller ventures.
On the three occasions he was questioned, Syed consistently responded that he was unaware of the regulations outlined in the SBA in this regard.
Additionally, Republicans are concerned that Syed sits on the board of directors of Emgage Action, the 501(c)(4) arm of the Muslim advocacy group Emgage USA, an openly “anti-Israel” organization, as reported by author Houston Keene.
Of note, Planned Parenthood’s 2019-2020 annual report notes that it received $618.1 million in taxpayer money, equivalent to 38% of its total revenue.
PP is a constant source of controversy because, in addition to being the largest clinic that thwarts the lives of hundreds of thousands of unborn babies around the world, it is also a major supplier of a hormone used to enable teenagers and children to “change their sex.”
On the other hand, a research report by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) reveals that there is enough evidence to ensure that Planned Parenthood is providing the Chinese communist regime with a large amount of DNA, tissue, and organs from aborted babies, which the Chinese would use to develop biological weapons (viruses).
