Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) on Thursday, March 18, reacted to President Joe Biden’s gaffe during remarks offering updates on CCP Virus (coronavirus) vaccinations in the United States.

During his speech on Thursday, Biden referred to his vice president as “President [Kamala] Harris.”

“When President Harris and I took…” Biden said, before momentarily pausing, “a virtual tour of a vaccination site in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that tour injecting people, giving vax each shot, was like administering a dose of hope.”

This is not the first time Biden made such gaffe. In December, he called Harris “president-elect” also during a speech on CCP Virus vaccines.

Gaetz mocked the 78-year-old commander in chief, saying, “When it comes to the Harris-Biden relationship, everyone in Washington knows that every time Kamala Harris shakes the hand of Joe Biden, she’s checking his pulse.”

Gaetz said he believed that China, not Russia, is the real threat that faces our country and Biden is showing weakness, which is contrary to what former President Donald Trump had done during his presidency.

“We will not defeat China in a world in which we portray weakness,” Gaetz continued. “Today, Joe Biden portrays that very weakness, in his stature and his inability to address problems, in his acuity, and when we get down to the elements of the Trump presidency we want to maintain on trade, on international engagement, on focusing our foreign policy against the Middle Kingdom, not the Middle East, it’s important that we continue to preserve that America First doctrine.”

“I think Joe Biden wants to take us back to a world in which we threat construct around Russia rather than focusing on the real threat that will drive whether or not America continues to lead another generation of global success,” he said.

Gaetz previously made some keen observations about the Biden administration as Biden avoided the press and Harris met with international leaders.

“You have to wonder whether or not the transition to Harris has already begun,” Gaetz said to host Maria Bartiromo. “Joe Biden’s had more nap time than he’s had questions from reporters. And you’re right. While the Middle Kingdom grows more ambitious in their goals, we are still toiling away in the Middle East. Joe Biden has had more attacks on Syria than he’s had press conferences.”
