An arch of colors appeared in the sky after authorities discovered human remains, suspected of belonging to a missing Florida woman on Sept. 19.
A photo is circulating on the internet depicting a spectacular rainbow formation above the site Gabby Petito’s body was allegedly found at the Grand Teton National Park of Wyoming.
The FBI believes the body’s traits are “consistent” with the 22 year-old, who was reported missing after going on a road trip with her fiancé. The corpse was in a distant yet popular camp site.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sept. 21. No cause of death was determined at the time of publication according to Fox News.
Petito amassed thousands of followers by documenting her travels around the country. She and her partner had converted a white van into a camper, so they can visit national parks and other remote locations.
The blogger began her cross-country journey in June, driving from Florida to New York then California. She visited many of the country’s most famous national parks, and recorded her experiences on social media.
Brian Laundrie, 23, had accompanied her. He returned home to Florida after being rescued.
Petito’s family members knew something was wrong when they had not heard from the woman since late August. They reported her missing on Sept. 11. Father Joseph could not sleep for days, and pleaded for anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact him, according to Fox News.
“If Gabby is listening and can hear this, I want her to know we love her and just want her [to come] home,” he previously said according to the broadcaster.
Laundrie has been identified as a “person of interest” in Petito’s case. He has appointed a lawyer and his whereabouts are unknown since Sept. 17.
Authorities have launched a manhunt and investigations continue.
