Clouds do have a silver lining, in the case of the president testing positive for the CCP Virus (coronavirus), the positives that came from it did not escape President Trump’s notice, and he wants to share his insights with the nation.
During a four-minute video update to the nation on his recovery, President Trump said becoming infected with the CCP Virus turned out to be a “blessing in disguise.”
“Hi, perhaps you recognize me. It’s your favorite president,” said the president as he began the video, speaking to Americans from outside the Oval Office, reported the NewYork Post.
The president heaped praise on the professionals that supervised his treatment at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, experts had suggested the president be moved there from the White House after his positive diagnosis on Thursday, Oct. 1.
“These are great professionals, they’ve done a fantastic job,” he said and included praise for the many professionals around the country. “We have the greatest doctors in the world, we have the greatest nurses, the greatest first responders, law enforcement, by the way—incredible. Firefighters, everybody, they’re just great,” said the president.
After spending four days in the hospital, the president explained that when he was first admitted, “I wasn’t feeling so hot.” Not long after his admittance, the president said, medical staff gave him the experimental drug, Regeneron’s REGEN COV2, and almost immediately he began feeling well. “It was, like, unbelievable, I felt good immediately,” he said.
He felt as good then as he does now, he enthused. The president is organizing for the medication he was given, to be made available for all Americans who are hospitalized and suffering from the virus. The president said he has authorized the medications to be accessible on an emergency basis. “I think if you are in the hospital and feeling really bad, I think we’re going to work it so that you get them, and you get them free, especially if you are a senior.” These are things nobody even thought of a few months ago.
“I call that a cure.”
Making the drugs freely available to the hospitals is of prime importance at the moment, “It’s much more important to me than a vaccine,” he said. “I walked in I didn’t feel good, a short 24 hours later I was feeling great. That’s want I want for everyone.”
The president’s compassion for those suffering was evident throughout the video.
“I want everybody to be given the same treatment as your president.” It was the president’s suggestion that he take the experimental drug.
“I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it,” he added, “This was a blessing in disguise,” he said. “I caught it, I heard about this drug, I said ‘let me take it,’ it was my suggestion,” he added.
“It was incredible the way it worked, incredible,” he said.
The president feels if he hadn’t caught the virus, the drug would not have become such a focus and perhaps been missed as a major breakthrough for use in the arsenal to fight the pandemic.
President Trump again reinforced that the CCP is responsible for seeding the world with the virus, and stressed it will pay a heavy price. “It wasn’t your fault that this happened, it was China’s fault,” he said. “China’s going to pay a big price for what they have done to the world,” he said.
