After over 50 press conferences with the CCP Virus Task Force in the past two months, President Donald Trump skipped a briefing for the first time on Saturday, April 25. The president later that night took to Twitter to explain the reasoning behind the move.

“What is the purpose of having White House News Conferences when the Lamestream Media asks nothing but hostile questions, & then refuses to report the truth or facts accurately,” President Trump wrote. “They get record ratings, & the American people get nothing but Fake News. Not worth the time & effort!”

The White House has been holding the daily press briefings for the last few weeks during the pandemic, even during the weekends. The change came after a short Friday briefing and after mainstream media went wild over the president’s questions about injecting disinfectants or ultraviolet light into the body to eliminate the CCP Virus.

“Was just informed that the Fake News from the Thursday White House press conference had me speaking & asking questions of Dr. Deborah Birx. Wrong, I was speaking to our Laboratory expert, not Deborah, about sunlight etc. & the CoronaVirus. The Lamestream Media is corrupt & sick!” the president tweeted.

The White House is reportedly reconsidering the value of the briefings including possibly paring back the length of the pressers and the president’s appearance.

In another tweet, President Trump scolded the media for spreading the false claim that he called the CCP Virus pandemic a “hoax.”

“I never said the pandemic was a Hoax! Who would say such a thing? I said that the Do Nothing Democrats, together with their Mainstream Media partners, are the Hoax. They have been called out & embarrassed on this, even admitting they were wrong, but continue to spread the lie!” he said.
