At his “Keep America Great” rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the president that  “great percentages” of our armed forces are missing limbs because of Gen. Qassem Soleimani. He defended his decision of a precision airstrike that eliminated the Iranian Quds Force commander.

The rally took place at the same time as the Democrat presidential candidates were holding their seventh primary debate.

“I think they’re gonna start a new investigation. Was the attack imminent,” said the president, referring to  Democrats’ demands for answers as to why the attack was ordered on the world’s No. 1 terrorist.

Protesters in Iran are on the side of the United States for “the first time ever,” said the president, referring to the thousands of Iranians who took to the streets in Iran calling for their government to step down after it lied about the incident where it shot down a Ukrainian passenger jet, killing all 176 onboard.

The Senate will take a vote in the next few weeks on a privileged War Powers Resolution introduced by Senate Armed Services Committee member Tim Kaine (D-Va.), meant to prevent the president from using military action against Iran without the approval of Congress.

The president told the rally, without giving any specific details, that Gen. Soleimani was “actively planning new attacks. But we stopped them cold.”

“The Democrats should be outraged by Soleimani’s crimes,” but instead, declared the president they are doing everything in their power to “disparage what we did with the hit to this monster,” he added.

“Frankly, they already started the attack,” said the president, referring to the Iraqi forces storming the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. “I said to our generals, get there now, I don’t want another Benghazi. Not on my watch. They said sir we’ll be there tomorrow and I said nope get ’em over there now,” and joked that the soldiers who came to the aid of the embassy were “better than Tom Cruise, at his best.”

“He was a designated terrorist by President Obama who didn’t do anything about it as usual,” President Trump said. “I warned the ayatollah, they must not harm, hurt, or kill any protesters, the whole world is watching,” he added.
