Last April 16, 34 Republican senators joined Senator Joni Ernst’s initiative that introduced a bill to uphold a Trump-era policy that prevented public funds from being given to Planned Parenthood to perform abortions.

According to an announcement yesterday, the Senate Republican initiative is in response to the Biden administration’s various moves to not only use federal public funds for abortions but also for trafficking aborted babies.

The Republican proposal is not intended to reduce funding for women’s health care but prevents it from being used for abortions as if they were part of a medical necessity.

The “Women’s Health Care Funding Protection Act” only seeks to “prohibit federal funding for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.” Adding “any funds that cease to be available to Planned Parenthood will still be available to other eligible entities to provide health care services to women,” the bill says.

“Taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund organizations that perform abortions, an inhumane practice to which a substantial percentage of Americans have a strong moral objection,” Rubio said in a statement. “Planned Parenthood should never receive federal funding, and this legislation would make that a reality.”

During his administration, Trump amended the Title X Family Planning Program to require all recipients of these funds, including the abortionist, to physically separate their dedicated abortion facilities from the rest of the medical services to receive funding.

Of course, the abortionist rejected the modification and thus stopped receiving Title X funding from the federal government.

According to Lifenews, during the Trump era, Planned Parenthood lost about $60 million under the former president’s modification.

The 34 Republican senators’ proposal attempts to replicate the same thing.

The pro-abortion escalation of the Biden-Harris duo

Last Wednesday, the Department of Health and Human Services, now headed by pro-abortionist Xavier Becerra, overturned Trump’s regulation by which clinics that perform abortions could not receive public funds. Planned Parenthood announced that it would now begin to claim funding.

A few days after taking office as president, Biden reinstated the “Mexico City” policy; a regulation also overturned by Trump, which allows the U.S. government to fund abortions outside U.S. territory.

Last Friday, April 16, the Department of Health also announced that it was rescinding another Trump-era measure that had succeeded in banning the trafficking of aborted babies for so-called scientific “research.”

“From day one, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have worked to pay back the abortion lobby that spent millions to elect them,” Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. “President Trump’s Protect Life Rule respected both the plain statutory language of Title X and the strong majority of Americans who oppose using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortion on demand. Abortion is not ‘family planning,’ and Biden-Harris Democrats pursue this extreme, unpopular agenda at their political peril.”

The grotesque and inhumane “scientific” practice allows the Health Department to purchase aborted babies between 12 and 24 weeks gestation for experimental testing under the perverse excuse of “advancing science.”

Whether science advances or not, it is difficult to say, but what can be seen is that practices such as abortion and trafficking of aborted babies with taxpayers’ money are dehumanizing. People lose sensitivity when dealing with these little human beings who are violently deprived of life and treated as commodities.
