An Ohio police officer is charged with attempted kidnapping, pandering obscenity, disseminating material harmful to juveniles, assault, endangering children, child enticement, interfering with custody, and public indecency for urinating on a 12-year-old girl who was waiting for her school bus and recorded the interaction, prosecutors said.

The incident happened on Friday, Aug. 16, in Euclid, Ohio, when the girl was sitting on the sidewalk waiting to be picked by a school bus, then 34-year-old officer Solomon Nhiwatiwa drove up and tried to get the girl inside his car by asking if she needed a ride, prosecutors said.

After seeing the strong rejection from the girl, Nhiwatiwa droved off. But about one minute later he returned, used his cellphone to film himself urinating on the girl and left.

Nhiwatiwa’s action was caught by a neighbor, who called the Euclid police, where Nhiwatiwa served, to report a man acting strange and looking inside people’s cars.

The girl’s mother also reported the incident to the police department.

Prosecutors said Nhiwatiwa and turned himself in to police on Tuesday, Aug. 20 and will be arraigned on Aug. 26.
