New York State Police say one person was killed in a crash on the Adirondack Northway over the weekend.
Troopers have released few details about the crash, which occurred late Sunday morning on Interstate 87 in the town of Schroon, in Essex County 80 miles (129 kilometers) north of Albany.
The Post Star of Glens Falls reports the Northway was closed for nearly seven hours following the crash. Police are investigating whether one of the drivers was involved in an earlier theft complaint and if that driver was driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes.
