A 29-year-old Muslim man was recently arrested in Brooklyn, New York, after a failed attempt to set fire to a Jewish school and a synagogue. The defendant, identified as Ali Alaheri, faces criminal charges of attempted arson and beating a Jewish man for no apparent reason.
According to the criminal complaint released by the Department of Justice, Alaheri was discovered placing bags of trash against the side of a Jewish school and synagogue on 36th Street in Brooklyn, and setting the trash on fire in the early hours of May 19.
Alaheri was identified on surveillance footage committing the criminal act, which led to his subsequent capture. The images also confirmed that he was the same person who beat a man dressed in traditional Jewish attire several hours later without provocation.
Federal prosecutors reported that Alaheri and the victim had had no previous interactions before the conflict.
The task force officer responsible for the Alaheri investigation said in an official statement that he identified the 29-year-old from photographs available in the NYPD database. The offender was arrested wearing the same clothing the suspect was wearing in the video of the assault.
As alleged in the complaint and arrest letter, Alaheri deliberately set fire to the holy home of a yeshiva and synagogue and brutally attacked a man dressed in traditional Hasidic attire, demonstrating a violent hatred that cannot be tolerated,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Mark J. Lesko.
In addition, the U.S. Attorney issued his commitment to these types of cases stating, “This Office strongly condemns these types of intentional acts of violence and we will do everything possible to prosecute this type of conduct to the fullest extent possible.”
Alaheri’s criminal actions came in the midst of the new Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the so-called Gaza Strip, which in parallel has sparked a growing wave of violent anti-Semitism in the United States and elsewhere worldwide.
From New York and California to Illinois and Utah, the recent conflict between Israel and Gaza has generated a disturbing backlash against American Jews, who have become the target of death threats, hate speech, and violent physical attacks, Fox News reported.
One New Yorker who was confronted by a pro-Palestinian mob on his way to a synagogue this week told a Fox News reporter, “My people are being attacked all over the United States in broad daylight. This is textbook anti-Semitism, and we will continue to live in danger until the public begins to recognize it for what it is.”
This person’s comments were echoed in many U.S. cities and other parts of the world under the same anti-Semitic logic.
In parallel, U.S. leftist groups such as Black Lives Matter expressed their “solidarity” with the Palestinians amid the conflict with Israel, defining their blunt stance against the Jewish people in a message via Twitter:
“Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians. We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all its forms and will continue to advocate for the liberation of Palestine. (Always was and always will be).”
Thus it is once again evident how fallacious the leftist discourse against discrimination and equality is. It is obvious how leftists manipulate society, using speeches that sound pleasant to the ears as long as they serve their globalist agenda. But when their words turn against allies or particular interests, morality is put aside, as it happens with racism against Jews.
