The threats of riots by revolutionary groups of the left during the elections are frightening much of the country, particularly the wealthier sectors and owners of luxury buildings who know that they are the main target of these groups. New York’s wealthiest, especially in Manhattan, are preparing for election riots by hiring armed guards.
At the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle, where the penthouse is going for $62 million, authorities are hiring security agents, mostly retired police, with machine guns to watch and persuade, according to the New York Post.
“Everybody is worried about security,” an anonymous Time Warner source told the Post. “Every top building is adding security. It’s out of control. We hope it won’t be needed, but we will be ready.”
According to the source, the NYPD and Homeland Security are working together with building security to coordinate better assistance.
A member of the Luxury Buildings Board, in conversation with the Post, reported that police authorities had communicated with high-income residents, warning them to increase security precautions during election days.
“Everybody is doing it, adding elevated security to make sure that the buildings are safe,” a real estate insider told the Post.
A New Yorker living in a luxury apartment in Manhattan told the Post that in Florida, where she has a condo, the building hired two former military snipers to guard the roofs during the election and the days after.
The lady, who declined to give her name for her own safety, is one of the many New York residents who plan to be out of Manhattan on Election Day because of the widespread fear of rioting.
The fear that is worrying a large part of America is not accidental, there are more than enough reasons to be worried, especially considering that a network of demonstrators that brought together more than 80 anti-Trump groups, is organizing under the name of Protect the Results, with the aim of mobilizing millions of Americans in case Donald Trump wins the election, denying his victory.
Under the unfounded pretext of trying to “prevent a constitutional crisis,” the network of leftist activists and well-funded progressive groups are training, organizing, and planning the mass mobilization in the streets in case President Trump wins the election.
The coalition of more than 80 advocacy groups and grassroots organizations is born out of the merger of two well-established and long-standing groups called “Indivisible” and “Stand Up America.”
In turn, both groups are part of the Democracy Alliance (DA), according to Breitbart, an alliance financed by the left-wing multibillionaire Soros, which also receives donations from thousands of small and medium-sized contributors whose common goal is to develop a single progressive movement in the United States.
