The NYPD is searching for four men who tried to lure two children in two separate incidents into a vehicle with candy in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
Police said the four men in a Toyota Rav 4 were spotted at least twice on Saturday, Oct. 5, between Sunset Park and Borough Park, Brooklyn. They confronted two boys ages 10 and 11 at about 8:30 pm around 47th Street and 18th Avenue trying to lure them into the car. The children heard the men say something like, “Come here. Come here. We have candy for you” before the driver and one of the backseat passengers climbed out of the car.

The children fled in both incidents and told their mothers, who called the police.
“I thought, this is crazy, I thought we lived in a safe neighborhood,” the mother said. “They shouldn’t be on the street. We tell them all the time to stay away from strangers.”
There have been no arrests.
