New evidence has come to light that the World Health Organization (WHO) knew that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was lying about the onset of the CCP Virus (Wuhan virus) and aided in the deceit by praising China’s handling of the virus and its transparency to the world. The delay in critical information to the rest of the world has cost the lives of thousands and created untold grief and economic loss.

Bitter Winter created a chronicle of events on the virus in March, proving the CCP was involved in a coverup, with fake news and delays intended to fool the world. The CCP should be held responsible for the terrible toll it has taken on the world’s people, and for the death of thousands.

It has now come to light through leaked documents from the WHO, obtained by the Associated Press, that the WHO supported CCP claims it was transparent when it really knew all along it was lies. The WHO was also aware the coverup by the CCP would lead to the loss of thousands of lives from the virus.

New details that have emerged show that on Dec. 27, 2019, Vision Medicals, a Chinese laboratory, had successfully sequenced “most” of the genome of the CCP Virus. It was then sent to officials in Wuhan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Shi Zhengli, an expert virologist from Wuhan completed the full sequence of the genome by Jan. 2, 2020, with a third virologist Zhang Yongzhen from the Shanghai Public Clinical Health Center also completing the sequence to the CCP Virus’s genome, with the conclusion it was a virus transmitted from human to human. Two more laboratories followed up confirming the results.

On Jan. 3, the National Health Commission of China ordered the laboratories to destroy the samples—get rid of the evidence—and they were forbidden to divulge the results. After comments went up on social media from Chinese doctors on Jan. 8, the Wall Street Journal printed an article about the outbreak of the SARS-like virus in Wuhan.

According to leaked documents from The Associated Press, the article proved a huge embarrassment to the WHO. “Dr. Tom Grein, chief of WHO’s acute events management team, said the agency looked ‘doubly, incredibly stupid,’” and Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO Health Emergencies Program, awoke to the fact that the CCP was covering up facts about the spread of the virus in Wuhan.

Within hours of the Wall Street Journal article hitting the newsstands on Jan. 8, the CCP announced the discovery of a “new virus,” a lie considering the genome sequence had been mostly completed on Dec. 27.

Health authorities in Thailand stopped a traveler from Wuhan who was suffering strange symptoms, and she was examined by professor Supaporn Wacharapluesadee, who diagnosed a new coronavirus (the CCP Virus). She quickly obtained a partial genome sequence and shared it with authorities, not knowing the full sequence had been discovered in China.

On Jan. 11, Shanghai’s Zhang Yongzhen posted the full sequence on the specialized website virological.org. without permission from the CCP, resulting in a backlash from authorities that swiftly closed the Shanghai facility.

Thanks to Zhang’s brave move and communications with him, Thai officials were able to alert the WHO that their test results from the patient were a match for the genome sequence of the virus from Wuhan.

The CCP officially notified the WHO of the completed genome sequence on Jan. 12, but even then the CCP attempted to hide that human-to-human transmission of the virus was definite for several days. In other words, they were delaying the world knowing the seriousness of the outbreak for as long as they could.

Bitter Winter reports: In the first two weeks of January, the WHO’s Michael Ryan continuously asked the WHO’s top authorities to put pressure on the CCP, telling it this was a remake of Chinese reticence to share data about SARS. “This is exactly the same scenario, endlessly trying to get updates from China (the CCP) about what was going on,” he said according to The Associated Press (AP). “WHO barely got out of that one with its neck intact given the issues that arose around transparency in southern China.” Ryan also commented that what was happening in China “would not happen in Congo and did not happen in Congo and other places,” referring to Congo’s more cooperative attitude when Ebola hit.

The WHO representative in Beijing, Dr. Gauden Galea, is from Malta, a country with close CCP ties, and even he criticized CCP officials for the coverup. “We have informally and formally been requesting more epidemiological information, but when asked for specifics, we could get nothing.”

On Jan. 14, the WHO sent out a tweet, “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China.”

It completed the picture of the CCP web of lies, and the WHO has been complicit by turning a blind eye.

“It’s obvious that we could have saved more lives and avoided many, many deaths if China (the CCP) and the WHO had acted faster,” said Ali Mokdad, a professor at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, reported AP.

During January, the WHO was lavish in its praise for the way the CCP responded to the CCP Virus, thanking the CCP for “immediately” sharing the genetic sequence, and called its commitment to transparency and work ethic “very impressive, and beyond words,” said AP.
