A new film co-produced by former White House adviser Steve Bannon highlights the national security threat that Chinese tech giant Huawei poses to the United States.
The film is inspired by the events that followed the arrest in Canada, at the request of the United States, of Huawei senior executive Meng Wanzhou.
Meng, daughter of company founder Ren Zhenfei, was charged with conspiracy and fraud in relation to the skirting of U.S. sanctions on Iran, according to CNBC.
Bannon, producer of the film with NTD, explained in an interview on The Epoch Times American Thought Leaders that he is convinced that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is an “existential threat” to the United States and the rest of the world.
“This is a very powerful film,” Bannon said, adding that he believes it “explains in a dramatic form exactly what’s going on with China’s encroachment into the technology area throughout the world.”
“People will be shocked,” he added.
“The film follows Chinese-Canadian fictional journalist Jane Li as she reports on the arrest and detention in Canada of the CFO and heir to the fictional Chinese company Huaxing Hi-Tech,” according to New Tang Dynasty Television Canada press release.
Huawei is a giant technology company that is trying to export its 5G systems around the world, which has aroused many suspicions and misgivings worldwide.
There is growing evidence of a clear link between all Chinese technology companies and the totalitarian regime of the Chinese Communist Party.
Recently, an investigation found that about 100 Huawei employees had links to Chinese military or intelligence agencies.
In addition, there is the fact that all Chinese companies must, by law, share all their data and information with the Beijing regime if it so requests.
More and more experts are denouncing Chinese technology companies as “Trojan horses” designed to infiltrate and control the rest of the world’s countries.
In his book, “The Hundred-Year Marathon,” Michael Pillsbury, White House adviser on China since the 1970s, explains that since 1949 the CCP has been implementing a “secret strategy to supplant the United States as the world’s dominant power, and to do so by 2049, the one-hundredth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic.”
Pillsbury, like Bannon, thinks that the war between China and the United States is not about the trade war in the headlines, and it was not started by President Donald Trump.
The war was started decades ago by the CCP against the United States, and only now is the Trump administration evaluating the real threat and confronting it as “the greatest national security challenge of the twenty-first century.”
