In a press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signaled her intention to remove President Trump from office before the November elections, using the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
According to Breitbart, at Thursday’s weekly conference, Nancy Pelosi was caught up in a series of confusing statements. She again hinted at her willingness to remove the president using some legal device. This time, it would be the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
While answering a question about a possible stimulus package to mitigate the crisis caused by the CCP Virus, the Speaker of the House said: “Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow. We’re going to be talking about the 25th Amendment.”
After that comment, reporters immediately requested that she deepen her comments on the subject and answer whether she considers the time is right to apply the 25th Amendment. She did not give an explicit answer but implied that the discussion is linked to an alleged lack of transparency on the part of the White House when reporting on President Trump’s health.
Pelosi posited the question, “Mr. President, when was the last time you had a negative test before you tested positive? Why is the White House not telling the country that important fact about how this made a hotspot of the White House?”
Despite Pelosi’s accusations to the contrary, the President’s doctors informed the media on several occasions and have issued several press releases providing regular updates on President Trump’s health, including details on the types of medications he has taken. On Wednesday, White House doctors reported that the President had been asymptomatic for 24 hours.
Also, Trump has launched a series of videos on Twitter over the past few days claiming that he feels significantly better, including details of the medications he has been given since beginning his treatment.
The 25th Amendment details presidential succession and authorizes the vice president and a majority of the president’s cabinet or such other body as Congress may by law direct to declare a president unable to fulfill his office’s powers and duties.
This is not the first time Pelosi has expressed her desire to remove President Trump from office. In September last year, she announced a formal impeachment investigation against him. After a convoluted process that was a major distraction for the whole Nation, the Senate eventually found him not guilty of the two charges against him.
