MSNBC will not air President Trump’s Fourth of July celebration a Salute to America, according to Politico.
The network does not plan to broadcast the event live, but will consider airing some clips from the event during their regular program, a representative from the network told Politico.
Fox News is expected to cover the full Salute to America during a two-hour edition of “Special Report” while C-SPAN will broadcast the full event live beginning at 6:15 p.m. ABC News, CBS, and NBC will also stream the event on their websites.
On June 18, CNN and MSNBC stopped their coverage of President Trump 2020 re-election campaign rally in Orlando, Florida, shortly after people in the audience began chanting “CNN sucks.”
President Trump on Monday said about the event, “We’re going to have a great Fourth of July in Washington, D.C. It’ll be like no other,” the president said. “It’ll be special and I hope a lot of people come. And it’s going to be about this country and it’s a salute to America.”
This year’s event is expected to focus on the mighty power of the U.S. military which includes tanks, jets, fireworks, military bands, among other things. The president will deliver a speech from the Lincoln Memorial.
Perhaps, President Trump is inspired by a military parade with tanks and other military equipment after watching the Bastille Day parade in 2017 in Paris.
