Major League Baseball (MLB) recently sparked controversy by responding to calls to leave Georgia due to its newly enacted voter ID rule.

MLB gave in to Left-wing pressure and moved the All-Star game out of Georgia.

Democrats and leftists, including President Biden, have supported the unfounded assertion that demanding photo identification to vote is “racist.”

Despite MLB caving into the crowd and pulling the All-Star game out of Georgia due to the law, teams also need fans to display photo IDs at the Will Call booth to pick up their tickets.

According to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), the league’s ticket scheme is hypocritical considering the league’s resistance to the legislation requiring electors to include a state ID number on their absentee ballot.

‘Hey @MLB, this you?’ Rep. Mace wrote, accompanied by a screenshot of the MLB.com Will Call policy.

Multiple calls for a clarification of the league’s photo ID policy for ticket retrieval went unanswered.

Proponents of the decision to switch the All-Star Game out of Atlanta’s Truist Park this year contend that Georgia’s recent GOP-backed election integrity legislation is a form of voter intimidation and is discriminatory.

Following meetings with individual players and the Players Alliance (An association of black players formed after George Floyd’s death last year), MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred decided to relocate the All-Star games and amateur draught from Atlanta, the commissioner, said in a statement.

Manfred said, “I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB draft.

“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box.”

President Joe Biden, according to the White House, is in favor of the announcement.

“The President has made his concerns about the bill passed in Georgia clear, given its extreme provisions that impact the ability of so many citizens to cast their votes,” the White House said.

“He said earlier this week that if the decision was made by Major League Baseball to move the All-Star game, he would certainly support that decision—and now that MLB has made that choice, he certainly does.”

Trump slammed the move in a tweet and encouraged his followers to “boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections.”
