A 14-year-old Virginia girl, who has been missing for nearly 10 days, was found safe on Wednesday night, Oct. 30. Her suspected abductor taken into custody, Virginia State Police said.

Police have canceled a nationwide Amber Alert for Isabel Hicks who was believed to be staying with 33-year-old Bruce Lynch, who was armed and potentially dangerous, after she had been found safe.

The teenage girl and Lynch were spotted together late Monday night, Oct. 28. They approached a home where a person inside alerted police.

Although more than 200 authorities had joined in the search, they were unable to locate either subject. Authorities also said that Lynch had shaved his face.

The pair were eventually taken into custody without incident following a traffic stop in Caroline County, WRIC reported.

“The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office will provide an update shortly…please be patient, as they’re still in the midst of the investigation and arrest,” Virginia State Police released.
