A Florida mother and her four children who had been missing since the beginning of August have been found dead, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said Monday morning, Sept. 16, that detectives had found the body of 32-year-old Casei Jones near Brantley County, Georgia. Four bodies, believed to be the children, had also been found in the afternoon. All of them were deceased when found.

Over the weekend, Casei Jones’s family reported to the police that it had been about six weeks since they had seen or heard from her and her four children, Cameron Bowers, 10, Preston Bowers, 5, Mercalli Jones, 2, and Aiyana Jones, 1.

Deputies said that Casei Jones’s husband, 38-year-old Michael Waye Jones Jr., was also located after a crash in Georgia. The mother’s body was found in his vehicle. He later led detectives to the four missing children.

Investigators believed Jones murdered his family at their home in Summerfield, Florida, then stored the bodies in the home and in his vehicle before taking them to rural Georgia.

He now faces a charge of second-degree murder in the death of the mother. Other charges are pending.
