A St. Paul, Minnesota man was convicted Tuesday, Jan. 28, of raping his girlfriend’s 4-year-old twin daughters and giving them both a sexually transmitted disease, according to a report.

Arturo Macarro Gutierrez, 36, was convicted on four counts of criminal sexual conduct, including two in the first degree and two in the second degree.

Gutierrez was arrested in October 2018 after one of the girls told her grandmother her “daddy” hurt her, the Pioneer Press reported. The girl was taken to the hospital, where tests were run that determined she had gonorrhea.

Police arrested Gutierrez after a SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home in St. Paul and found him hiding in the attic.

The 36-year-old man denied hurting the 4-year-old but was criminally charged after he also tested positive for gonorrhea. He was subsequently charged with assaulting the girl’s sister when she also tested positive for the sexually transmitted disease.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 1.
