Former First Lady Melania Trump announced on Friday, Feb. 12, the launch of the Office of Melania Trump weeks after former President Donald Trump announced the creation of the Office of the Former President, which would be composed of several of his former advisers.

The news was published through the new official Twitter account on Friday, “Mrs. Melania Trump announces the opening of the Office of Melania Trump. Follow this account for news and updates.” Later, from Melania Trump’s personal account the message was republished.

However, the announcement did not reveal any details about the projects she would be working on under this new initiative.

CNN reported that former President Trump has hired three members of his administration to assist her with setting up the office. According to a source who contacted CNN, with the initiative, Melania “hopes to resurrect her Be Best campaign” to provide help to children to deal with issues such as cyberbullying, or opioid abuse.

The former first lady on Jan. 18, gave a heartfelt thank you to military service members, law enforcement, caregivers, and health care personnel for their efforts amid the CCP Virus crisis and others who inspired her work since she entered the White House in 2017.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as First Lady of the United States. I have been inspired by incredible Americans across our country who lift up their communities through their kindness and courage, goodness and grace,” Melania Trump highlighted in her farewell message.

She also highlighted their work, especially with the Be Best project.

Also in January, former President Trump announced the creation of the office of the former president through which it is expected he will continue to work on his America First agenda.

Through an official statement it was detailed, “Today, the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump formally opened the Office of the Former President.” 

“The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump’s correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism,” the statement continued.

“President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People,” the statement concluded.
